About Richard Booth

Located for more than 25 years on historic Old York Lane in the heart of Toronto's Yorkville district, British-born master jeweller Richard Booth is the leading retailer for fine jewellery and accessories.

Having made his first piece of jewellery at age ten, Booth had no idea that it would become his life’s work. His mother, a wartime bride, always wore an elegant emerald and diamond engagement ring, which continues to inspire Booth's work. His passion led him to Montreal to hone his craft in a city that embraces creativity and design. Booth's designs are influenced by the Art Deco architecture of Montreal and New York, as well as his love of nature.

Over the years Booth has designed jewellery for celebrities including Sir Anthony Hopkins, Whoopi Goldberg, Stevie Nicks, Anthony Anderson, Richard Lewis, Evan Biddell, Denise Matthews and Vondie Curtis, and is one of Jeanne Beker's favourite 100 stores in Toronto. He has also donated his prized pieces to help several charitable causes such as Sick Kids Hospital, Portage, Fashion Cares, Opera Magazine and PLAN Canada.

Richard considers his wife Suzanna Booth to be his muse; over the years they have created many outstanding pieces of jewellery together. Although Booth has won six national design awards, he is most fulfilled by designing custom jewellery that meets his clients' needs and exceeds their expectations.

Custom design and repair has always been the cornerstone of Richard Booth’s business. Uniqueness and elegance is his trademark.
