Established since 1975, Richard Booth Fine Jewellery is nestled into Old York Lane; a historic cobblestone laneway for pedestrians in the Yorkville area. The curved stainless steel facade of our store suggests that something unique and exciting is happening here. The design of the store is actually a metaphor for my jewellery design. The steel is powerful yet intrigue comes from the warmth of the curved exterior. The interior, detailed in walnut and stainless steel, is a calm and intimate place to choose your rings.
We specialize in platinum and gold jewellery that is tastefully designed and finely crafted. Our workshop is on the premises, which means you get to talk to the people who will be bringing your jewellery to life. Since we have focused on custom work with clients for over twenty years we are committed to asking the kind of questions and double-checking information that allows the work to move ahead with confidence. This means learning about lifestyle, wearabilty needs, personal taste, and budget in order to suggest some design solutions. Several sketches leading to a mock up or a wax carving of the desired design follows those suggestions. Usually several fittings follow before the piece is finished.
This design process is geared more to the individual than the trend. Unique engagement rings and wedding bands are a tradition that we are proud of. Whether diamonds, sapphire, ruby, or emerald, the process usually begins by falling in love with a special gemstone.
